What are THROWLINES?

Throwlines are a high quality rescue equipment designed to use on moving water. They are usually incased inside Lifebelt Holders. The bag is a tapered cylindrical design, they are made from rugged material to provide outstanding durability.

Safety Advice when using lines-

The advice firstly must be DO NOT GO INTO the water to attempt a rescue-you may become a victim. Phone the emergency Services (999) and look for Lifebelts EVERY SECOND COUNTS!

Instructions for use

1. Open the velcro flap at neck of bag.

2. Grab open end of bag with throwing hand.

3. Grasp the loop firmly in the other hand.

4. Throw bag and contents at the person to be rescued keeping a firm hold on the loop.

 NOTE! Swing the bag underhand for more accuracy. Wait until the person to be rescued has wound the yello loop on the bag securely around wrist, before starting rescue operations.

After Use;

- Dry the rope and bag

- Rinse the rope with fresh water

- Pack the rope carefully-Do not coil!

- Leave the loop ouside the bag

- Close the velcro flap tightly

- Store the line thrower always in a handy and visible place
